PhD. Tania Riveiro Rodríguez, graduated in History from the USC in 2012 and Master in teaching in the area of Social Sciences from the same university in 2013. Until the beginning of her research career, she was a professor of Geography and History in secondary education.

She is currently a doctoral/teacher assistant in the area of Social Sciences Didactics at USC. She began her research career in 2016 as a Research Support Technician and in 2017 she began her contract as a predoctoral researcher in training at the ministry. She received her PhD from USC in 2021, with the thesis “The theme of landscape and sustainability in secondary school classrooms: observation and critical reflection from an alternative model”, directed by Professor Ramón López Facal. During that period, she carried out a research stay at the University of Ottawa (Canada). She has participated in two national research projects (one in progress). She has developed her research on topics related to didactics, innovation, heritage, landscape, the development of social and critical skills in students, etc. More recently, she has paid attention to teaching-learning processes that start from natural landmarks related to geomorphology and geology and that, considering their historical temporality and social context, allow critical reflection on socially relevant issues such as climate change or the ecological crisis.
